Resources Page
A page of resources for both Openness theology and Universal Salvation, among other topics. Some of these books are about one or both topics and are only those which I have personally read. I do not necessarily agree with all of the content of each book or resource but feel that they are good representations of differing views.
The practice I usually follow is to read a chapter or two and then go back with a bible to check the references given. If the material is very enlightening or really hits me then I grab my Note Takers Bible (I use the NRSV) and add notes.

A must read on the thought of open theism. So good, I love reading Mr. Oord! Are there things God can not do? Find out in this short read.
A More Christ Like Way

A fantastic book! Very practical look at what it means to walk like Christ today. Also read A More Christ Like God, the prequel of sorts to A More Christ Like Way which explores the reality that God IS just like Jesus!
The Jesus Creed

I am just into the first few chapters so far, it is amazing! I will post more on this gem soon!
Bible Translations or versions I use:
NRSV- I have numerous of the available versions of this bible including The Oxford Annotated Study Bible, The New Interpreters Study Bible and The Note Takers Bible. It is a great translation and has become my choice of use due to the large amount of study material that accompanies it.
ESV- This is similar to the NRSV and also has many study helps available.
Jonathan Mitchell New Testament- I can not begin to tell you how often I use this expanded translation! If you truly desire to know and understand what the Greek language is trying to say then the JMNT is for you! There are also matching commentaries available.
The Apostolic Polyglot- I use this bible as a study tool. It is an interlinear Greek/English bible keyed to Strong's. The Old Testament is translated from the LXX.
The KJV keyed to Strong's- I normally avoid the KJV but do reference this translation keyed to Strong's for the Old testament.
Young's Literal Translation- This "literal" translation ids very helpful for study purposes and is easy to read as well. It was my first bible used apart from the KJV.
Rotherham Emphasized Bible- Somewhat similar to Young's.
Concordant Literal Version- This bible is an excellent study tool. I refer to it often when checking words and for comparison. It is available in both OT and NT. You can read it on-line using adobe.
Wuest's Expanded Translation- This bible is gets frequent use for study purposes. Like the JMNT it is expanded to give a deeper understanding of the intention of the Greek language. There is also an excellent 3 volume commentary which accompanies this excellent translation.
NET Bible- Another frequently used translation for me. The NET is loaded with translation notes which is invaluable when studying. Bible.org is an excellent site for study which uses the NET as well.
The Companion Bible- I have this in KJV and use it for the excellent and plentiful notes!
Universal Version Bible- Great for reading and study as it is loaded with translation notes.
I also use E-Sword software and have 50+ bibles downloaded. Most I use rarely but it is nice to compare words across many translations. I have a few others laying around, you can never have enough bibles! I truly believe that using different translations or versions is beneficial for reading and studying God's word. I believe that God's intent and message is here for us today but I do not believe that any one translation has the right to claim that it is the only "authorized" version.
The Passion Translation- Brian Simmons wonder translation is rich in language! The complete New Testament is available and some of the Old Testament is released a little at a time. I look forward to getting it all in one binding!
The Message Bible- I purchased my first Message Bible in 2018. Since then I have purchased it in a few different forms including a journal addition. I love the straight forward language and easy way Eugene Peterson translates God's word into English.
